Payday 3 News: Dev Update 1 and new Free Content Announced
As of November 14th the developers at Starbreeze announced that there was a new content update on its way for Payday 3. Given the previous was purely a bug fix update and also came out over a month since the game launched in September.
The announcement was made on their social media and most prominently on YouTube where they posted the following video.
As described by the dev team, this update hopes to expand upon the game with multiple heists from the previous game returning, alongside the character Locke being confirmed to be alive and serving as a contractor the Payday Gang once more.
Not only does the update include an apology for the existing delay in patches, and assurances that work and updates will be able to be made far more frequently. The log also addresses the issues with progression in game stating that the purely challenge based system is now going to include bonuses for completing missions.
As someone who was disappointed by the state Payday 3 launched in myself, this upcoming update gives hope that the game is finally moving in the right direction and will be providing a lot more quality content and experiences as its predecessor did before it.
