Synthetik 2 Review

Synthetik 2 is an isometric top down shooter with rogue-like elements and a pension for intense gunplay. Having already put over 70 hours into the game as of this review, Synthetik 2 does everything it should as a sequel to Synthetik. While still being in early access, and getting large updates every few months, this game is more than worth your time and money at the price tag of $19.99 on Steam.

Looking at the game’s Steam page shows agreement across the community, with user reviews being over 80% positive. The game has added new frames or characters to play as, in addition to new guns items, and an entirely new system for leveling up class abilities during a run. Synthetik 2 has already been able to capture and expand on the gameplay loop of its predecessor and add even more to the experience.

To those interested in rogue-like games and top-down shooters, Synthetik 2 is an incredibly easy game to recommend. With cooperative multiplayer and a robust single player experience, this game is shaping up to be what takes up many a weekend of gaming.
